PDSU generates electricity for its own consumption by passing high pressure steam from 3 units of coal fired boilers with a combined steam generation of 50mt/hour, through a 15MW turbine generator. A 6MW turbine generator and 2 units of 2,000KVA diesel generators are on standby.
